This study was carried out to obtain the new directions for improving the educations of Technical High schools(THS). Through the curriculum analysis and questionnaire-survey on the objectives of THS, the following suggestions were taken out. 1) The education of THS should aim at the life-long education in addition to the terminal education and THS have to bring up industrial-technicians who have various abilities such as adaptability, applicability, and creativity to cope with the high-tech society. At the same time the graduates of THS should have the basic skills and knowledge and they must make a continuous effort to develop their personal abilites and national economic - growth. 2) The objectives of THS should be described concretely to cultivate the abilities and qualities of industrial technicians rather than to train the competency of the skilled-worker. 3) When we establish and change the departments of THS, it will be desirable to consider the future prospect of the long - term manpower development planning rather than the short - term demands.
