Neo-liberal economic policies under the leadership of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan in the late 1970s and early 1980s succeeded in increasing GDP by reducing tax cuts, deregulation, minimizing government intervention, privatizing public enterprises or public institutions, disintegrating labor unions, and reducing welfare. However, the policies resulted in problems such as; the gap between the rich and the poor, unemployment and depression, economic oligopoly, environmental destruction, lack of public goods, the corruption of ethics, which is an uneconomical ill that occurs in capitalist societies, lack of human rights, the weakening of the community, and the promotion of war and aggression. The meaning of “sharing” has attracted attention as an alternative to the diverse social problems of modern times, and the “shared economy” in various forms has become familiar with modern society. The “shared kitchen” discussed in this study has emerged strongly in the form of a shared economy. Therefore, this study includes not only the economic aspects of modern society’s problems but also the meaning of sharing about uneconomical ills that arise in capitalist societies that were alternatives to neoliberalism. This paper is proposing a new type of shared kitchen, including various types, through characteristics and expressive elements of the concept of nomadism that is frequently used to explain the phenomena occurring in modern society.
