The purpose of this study at figuring out recognition of the principals on management of special physical education activity classes in childcare centers, and suggesting required to manage extracurricular physical education activity classes for infants and toddlers. For achieving the goal, the case study of qualitative research methods was selected and conducted on five principals of the childcare centers in Seoul was conducted and the results were drawn as follows:
First, they recognized highly the necessity of extracurricular physical education activity classes according to the changes of the times. Second, they also recognized that physical education teachers could improve positively quality of classes through realization of extracurricular physical education activity classes interacting with toddlers. Third, they recognized that increasing efficiency of extracurricular physical education activity classes through evaluation process was done. Fourth, they recognized that it was necessary to develop and realize the programs related to extracurricular physical education activity classes through curriculum for infants and toddlers. Fifth, they recognized that it necessitated to invigorate and settle the system of teachers in charge of physical education for raising the efficiency of teaching to enhance professionalism of the physical education classes. Sixth, they recognized that it was required to understand comprehensively the curriculum through suggesting road map in order to manage extracurricular physical education activity classes efficiently.
