이 연구의 목적은 1919년의 세 차례에 걸친 독립선언 이후 새로운 100년이시작되는 오늘의 시점에서 동학공동체의 방향과 과제는 과연 무엇일 수 있는지를 탐색하려는 데에 있다. 지난 100년 간 그 선언들이 추구했던 바가 아직도온전히 실현되고 있지 못하다는 점에서, 이는 곧 ‘21세기형 동학혁명’의 방향과과제이기도 할 것이다. 이를 위한 연구 방법으로는 문헌연구방법론을 채택하였고, 그에 더해 다양한 형태의 실증 자료와 통계 지표 등을 활용하였다. 이 연구의 내용은, 첫째, 친일파 청산의 필요성에 대해서이다. 이것이 긴급하고 중요한 이유는, 해방 이후 돌연 ‘안보’라는 프레임을 앞세운 친일파들은여전히 우리 역사와 삶을 왜곡하고, 끊임없이 공동체의 갈등을 야기해가는 반민족세력이기 때문이다. 둘째, 99%에 대해 가해지는 1%의 경제적 불평등에대해서이다. 이는 매년 높아가는 기업 생산성과 노동자들이 체감하는 삶의질 사이에 큰 간극이 존재하는 이유를 살피려는 것이다. 마지막으로, 셋째, 인간 아닌 존재자들에 대해 인간이 가하는 종차별적 불평등에 대해서이다. 이는 만물을 상생의 대상으로 삼지 않아 초래되는 인간중심주의의 폐해를 살피려는 것이다. 이 연구의 결과는, 첫째, 친일파의 본질은 자신이 속한 공동체에 귀속되어야 할 이익을 팔아넘김으로써 오직 자신의 이익만을 취하는 반사회성에 있다. 즉, 일제의 강점 기간이 너무 길었다는 점은 변명이 될 수 없으며, 마찬가지 이유에서 ‘친일파’는 그것이 어느 공동체이든 척결되어야 마땅한 대상이다. 둘째, 기업에 대한 규제 샌드박스가 의미 있는 경우는 오직 제품 안전성과소비자의 잠재적 이익이 담보된 경우로 제한되어야 한다. 특히, 의료 영역처럼 윤리적 논쟁이 야기될 수 있는 사안에 대해서는 더욱 조심스런 접근이 필요하다. 마지막으로, 셋째, 자기중심적 편견을 넘어서는 인식의 확장이다. 모든 형태의 불평등과 차별은 궁극적으로 자기중심적 시각에서 비롯된 이익의독점 과정을 통해 발생하기 때문이다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the direction and task of the Donghak community at the beginning of the new century after three declarations of independence in 1919. It is also the direction and task of the ‘21st Century Donghak Revolution’ in that the pursuits of those declarations for the past 100 years have not yet been fully realized. As a research method for this, literature methodology was adopted and various types of empirical data and statistical indicators were used. The contents of this study are as follows. First, it is about the necessity of liquidation of the pro-Japanese. This is urgent and important because, after the liberation, suddenly, the pro-Japanese people who are leading the ‘security’ frame are still anti-Korean forces that distort our history and life and constantly cause community conflicts. Second, it is about 1% economic inequality for 99%. This is to see why there is a big gap between the increasing productivity of enterprises and the quality of life that workers experience each year. Finally, third, it is about the species discriminatory inequality that humans impose on non-human beings. This is to look at the harmful effects of anthropocentrism caused by not making all things an object of mutual benefit. The results of this study are as follows: First, the essence of the pro-Japanese wave is in the anti sociality which takes only its own interests by selling the profits to be attributed to the community to which it belongs. In other words, it is not an excuse that the strength period of Japanese imperialism is too long. For the same reason, ‘pro-Japanese’ is an object that any community should be defended. Second, if the regulatory sandbox for the enterprise is meaningful, it should be limited to the case where product safety and consumer’s potential benefits are secured. In particular, a more cautious approach is needed to address ethical controversies such as the medical field. Third, it is an extension of cognition beyond self-centered prejudice. All forms of inequality and discrimination ultimately occur through the monopoly process of interests derived from the self-centered view.
