A Study on the Teachers Perceptions on the Curriculum SupervisionCho, Duk-JooKonkuk Univ.This study was started on the perception that the present curriculum supervision systemshould be reconsidered according to the change of curriculum implementation method. Threecurriculum supervision systems were identified; the essentialistic, the experimental, theexistential system. Based on this analysis, the following study questions were established; whatthe present system that teachers perceived is; if teachers were unsatisfied with the presentsystem, which system they thought more desirable; what the specific method which makes thedesirable system works really in this country is.As the results of the study, teachers perceived that the characteristics of the presentcurriculum supervision system is essentialistic in general. But in the specific study area,teachers considered themselves as acting in existential way and supervisors working inessentialistic way. In the problem solving area, inconsistent thought was discovered in teachers.;they thought they need more advice from supervisors to solve their classroom problems.Considering that teacherss perceived the present supervision system is based onessentialism, this system should be changed step by step.
