This thesis aims to reveal the connection of virtues according to Thomas Aquinas. For this purpose the first chapter dealt with the concept and division of virtues, the following three examined the connections among acquired cardinal virtues, and among infused cardinal and theological virtues, among special virtues, the last treated the simultaneous making of virtues. The results are as follows: Firstly, Thomas Aquinas says that virtue is good habits. And he divides them into acquired natural virtues and infused supernatural, theological and moral, general cardinal and special, imperfect and perfect. According to him, natural inclinations are not connected. Secondly, acquired perfect virtues are connected imperfectly, in such a way that prudence and moral virues depend on each other, namely prudence cannot be without moral virtues, moral virtues without prudence. Infused perfect virtues are connected simply by charity. Thirdly, Imperfect inclinations can be used in good or evil way. They are not rooted deeply in human beings and not connected among them. Acquired perfect virtues are connected in some way, infused perfect virtues connected simply. Though we don’t have genuine virtues, we possibly do good things and though we have genuine virtues, we can do evil things. The reason is that becauce acts and habits are not opposed, they can be together, therefore human free will operates against habits. But acts can make habits by repeatting.
