The purpose of this study was to investigate secondary school science teachers' perceptions about professionality and in-service training program for experiment using survey. Subjects were 168 secondary school science teachers who attended at in-service training program for experiment. The results were as follows. First, the respondents perceived themselves as the teachers with average professionality. Second, the major elements needed for professionality were the appreciation of science contents, process skill and scientific attitude. Third, the system of university entrance examination was perceived as the chief obstacles to the development of professionality Fourth, the requirements for the development of professionality were the improvement of pre-service teacher's program and in-service teacher's professional development program. Lastly, they suggested that in-service teacher's professional development programs should be interesting and related to the science curriculum, and be developed based on the science teachers' needs.
