Indonesia constantly stands the 2nd position after Vietnam among South-East Asian countries in Korean direct investment for foreigners, and it is very attractive and mutual complemented for the economic cooperation to Korean companies, which is superior in a capital and technology, with merits of the 240 millions of population, strong IT policy by Indonesian government, the fast-growth of IT industry, and so on. The size of IT market in Indonesia is prospected to highly grow by the average annual of 20% between 2003 and 2008, from 6.8 billion dollars in 2003 to 22 billion dollars in 2008. The reason why Indonesian IT market is kept an eye on is, firstly, the deregulation by Indonesian government and the policy of strategic IT support with ‘a plan for Indonesia information society in 2015’ at the ahead, secondly, the half of 240 millions of population in Indonesia is in the average age of less than 30, so there are a lot of users for IT industry, and thirdly, internet users and subscribers of mobile communication have been fast-increased by the economic growth and the improvement of income. The expansion of IT market and increase of demanders in Indonesia make a advantageous environment for Korean companies to make inroads into Indonesia, and also it is appeared that the Korean companies advance to Indonesian IT market is continuously increasing with matching to Indonesian government policy.
