Report Errors
[Purpose] This study aims to analyze the effect of quality management system on customer performance and financial performance of Start-ups.
[Methodology] In this study, data were collected by survey from companies, which adopted a quality management system within 7 years after started their business. Three main hypotheses and eight sub hypotheses are empirically tested. The data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and the validity of the data was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).
[Findings] The main results of this study are as follows. First, management responsibility, resource management, and product realization have a significant effect on the customer performance of Start-ups. Second, resource management and product realization have significant influence on financial performance.
[Implications] This study has an implication that in order for start-ups to be a sustainable growth company, the quality of their products or services must be emphasized. Without quality, flexible production, and marketing strategies, start-ups would not make their customers to be satisfied in the short term, and they could not have a good financial performance in the long run.
