The purpose of this study is to study and analyze the connection between well-being awareness, menu selection attributes and menu consumption tendency and the effects of well-being awareness, menu selection attributes and menu consumption tendency on restaurant users to seek development measures for restaurants in future.
First, both of two hypotheses regarding the effects of restaurant users" well-being awareness on the menu selection attributes were adopted.
Second, seven hypotheses regarding the effects of restaurant users" menu selection attributes on the menu consumption tendency were adopted while the hypothesis asserting that the health, which is a sub factor of the menu selection attributes, would have a significant positive effect on the health seeking type, which was a sub factor of menu consumption tendency, was rejected.
The implications of this study based on the study results are as follows. First, it is considered that restaurants need to improve the quality of their food through the use of fresh and high quality food materials, develop menus in consideration of health continuously, and establish marketing strategies such as open kitchen that presents a clean cooking process to consumers. Second, if food service enterprises set and provide menus with fresh food materials in consideration of health which draws the highest interest among the factors of menu selection attributes, it is judged to give positive effects on consumers" menu consumption tendency.
