Choi In Hun is author who has persistently treated the modern history and His works have ranged from novel to essay acrossing multiple genres. This study, paying attention to research of the Choi In-hun’s novel till this day, try to point out the novel’s achievement and remaining tasks.
The previous studies of Choi In-hun in the 1990s are primary debates about the criticism and advocacy for the writer’s tendency of anti-realism. The Circle is located at the center of those debates. In the 2000s, In viewpoint of leaving colonialism, The repeated writing of Circle, Grey people, Journey to the West, Christmas carol and The novel of Governor’s voice, Typhoon are analyzed. These are outcome of research for novel of Choi In-hun ‘modernity’ and ‘Coloniality’. Recently, centering on Big story, The overall prospects of Choi In-hun’s literature have been tried. In Big story, The novels of Choi In-hun have been referred to self reflection, there is much attention toward the deconstructive writing and the style of later life.
The author, Choi In-hun, who has experiment the statement dissipate the focus of the corrector in his novels 〔Literature〕, trying to say the wards if he say these in the situation that can not be said, which will make big problem. and these experiments have been more aggressively attempted at writer’s play. Hereupon, in the field of literature of Choi In-hun, The study to be needed covering the overall prospects including his novel and plays.
