Linking literature and art by discovering Na Hae-seok`s art-light and colors within her writings was attempted. This is for understanding Na Hae-seok`s art and her writings as well to confirm the identity of her art works. In order to overcome the actual situation of Na Hae-seok`s art, having only 20 other work pieces other than black-and-white illustrations of the Joseon art exhibition that are of dubious authenticity, the identity of her art was sought out by discovering art within her writings. 「Gyeong-hee 경희」was newly interpreted when reading it in an artistic viewpoint. Na Hae-seok`s idea of standing as a human being through art was quite influenced by the ideology for the emancipation of women of Cheong-tap 청탑 and the Baek-hwa 백화 party which had a strong artistic propensity. First of all, 11 pieces of Na Hae-seok`s art work were found only in their titles within her writings. These were tried to be imagined since there were other supportive records of them. Also, her artistic inclinations were tried to be understood by the 11 compositions which she mentioned she would like to try. The colors and light found within her writings were used to inoculate her pictures with the feeling of vitality. A slight end of a strong impression of her art was verified. The art works of Na Hae-seok which were examined appeared as a world of light and colors. Effects of vivid expressions mobilizing these lights and colors were also found in literary descriptions. Second, Na Hae-seok felt a strong artistic inspiration when confronting the great nature and tried to carry it onto her drawings. Third, Na Hae-seok gradually changed from using primary colors to compound colors and calming color, then started to prefer large-minded, masculine, definite, clear, far-stretched blue colors. Fourth, Na Hae-seok showed interest in classical architecture with historic significance. Reaching at least at a small part of Na Hae-seok who attempted to incorporate the nation`s soul in vivid lights and colors upon the great nature, and her art works which were full of light and colors such as lemon yellow, currant rose (커런츠 로즈), and navy blue (청람색) through linking in her writings and art is a soothing consolation. Still, we are far distant from the essence of Na Hae-seok, as she intended to create "a spirit-moving, blood-boiling, skin-trembling" world of art.
