21st century is go over an age of culture, and the word `age of developing cultural contents` is not as unfamiliar as, we live in an age of enjoying and consuming various contents. At present, the Korea`s local decentralization had been accelerating, and as a result of that, there are a lot of local festivals and events are hold for the purpose of the local economical activity by the culture and sightseeing industry. Among that festivals and events, the international movie festivals are hold nearly 20 times. And in that festivals, `Pusan International Movie Festival`, `Pucheon International Fantastic Movie Festival` and `Jeonju International Movie Festival` can called Three Interior International Movie Festival by their scale and budget. Accordingly, each local movie festivals are setting up various information strategy and marketing strategy for prescribe of the local`s color and the character of movie festival. Also they make an efforts to discriminational design strategy for festival`s activity with go up to the international movie festival. Among of them, the movie festival`s poster which manufacture for inform the character and information of the festival is lead audience`s flow and inform the festival`s program and lead a interest from the audience. And also it is act as a role of communication between movie and audience, and do an informational activities to audience and lead them to watch the movie. Shortly it means commercial and expressional arts. This investigation take notice of visual language and changing by systematically, rationally and logically approach and analysis about the Three Interior International Movie Festival`s poster work. And aim at an opportunity to grope for poster`s new direction by analysis in semiotic system how the meanings are create and enlarge when configuration it in the poster. Recently, with the qualitative growth of interior international movie festival, movie festival poster`s growth are also considerable. Consequently, poster design have to express not only whole image of the festival but also create with a consider of an audience`s preference whom are main consumer. As a result of analysis about poster throughout the semiotics, consideration points are discover, which are the individuality symbol and the application of modeling point. I hope to this investigation be a opportunity of grope movie festival`s new direction, and throughout that it helpful to a create high level poster which can be remember and remain longer than movie festival. Finally, I also hope this investigation be a grope of recognizing the poster design`s importance and the vigorous participation of a professional designer.
