As mentioned above, we have found that the local folk songs have taken significant roles in the Thai society and their life style such as the relationship with life style, ways of thinking, and the belief in Buddhism. Because the local folk songs could build up unity in the society and directly related to Buddhism. Noticeably the local folk songs have reflected directly and indirectly in four main fields : 1) The folk songs with the works specially related buddhistic ritual, 2) Buddhism with the local folk songs accompanied the rituals, and 3) The dramatized local folk songs with the performances in annual festival, 4) the folk songs related with the life style or ways of thinking.
Using the folk songs as media, such as, the component or format of the plays and performances, lyrics, melodies of the songs and so on are evidently based on the social values, the ways of thinking or concept, and the belief in Buddhism. The local folk songs, therefore, are not only the performances, but the local folk songs are the reflection of product derived from the intellectual and imagination of the local people life style in the Buddhist community in which have entwined with the environment.
The local folk songs are the media that recorded and transferred the social condition and the teachings of the Buddha in various ways. The Thais, therefore, should realize of how significant it is to conserve and continue transferring the local folk songs as heritage till the end of time.
