Through the study of Palhae migrants of Liao empire(遼帝國) time, it becomes clear as follows.
After the the fall of Palhae empire, in the old Palhae's territory, the puppet of Liao empire, east Kitan(東丹國) was established. Due to the resistance of the migrants, east Kitan with the migrants of Palhae were moved to the west land(遼陽).
Liao empire moved the migrants of Palhae to defend the resistance of the migrants. The migration policy was originated to take the agriculture culture. The Chinese moved to the land of Liao empire voluntarily, but the migrants of Palhae didn't want the moval. Therefore the moval of Palhae's migrants was forced.
Due to migration policy by force, the migrants of Palhae lived together the Chinese, they were treated discriminately than the Chinese, and brought about the national liberation war till fall time of Liao empire, the leaders demanded military aid to Goryo(高麗) dynasty to take victory, but Goryo dynasty rejected the demand.
After all the national liberation war failed, the migrants were ruled under Kin(金) dynasty. Because the migrants brought about the national liberation war by reional group, the war failed. On the other hand, Jurchen(女眞) united with Akuta(阿骨打) as laeder, the migrants of Palhae were under Kin's control.
Goryo dynasty treated the migrants coldly, they exiled from Goryo dynasty to Liao empire, the migrants were received cordially in the Liao empire than in Goryo dynasty. Goryo dynasty estimated low the value of the migrants, but Liao empire estimated high.
In conclusion Palhae empire was established on the union of Goguryo line(高句麗係) and Malgal line(靺鞨係), but Goguryo line played a leading role of Palhae s development.
