The aim of this paper is to stress that language learning requires authenticity, and learners need to be exposed to authenticity, as maximally as possible, so that a variety of information acquired from real activities is appropriately processed and stored in the brain so as to be available for meaningful retrieval and possible performance in the future. This paper is also concerned with merging the
multi-layeredness approach with the collaborative heuristic approach, in which developmental brainstorming strategies are maximally utilized to encourage students to elicit not only creative but also productive ways of acquiring language faculty in order to practically experience the real world at a later time. This amalgamated approach, experimented within the English Cafe Task (ECT) as a Long-term Task-based Language Teaching (LTBLT) approach, reveals that students move, at most, from an inexperienced uncertainty to an experienced certainty about the authentic task, which is a business modeling of the real world. This experienced certainty is, in this paper, termed as confidence that is established by fully understanding the living mechanism of language in the real world and utilized as a drive to challenge novel things in the real world.
