In this short thesis I intend to deal with the life and thought of Mrs. Induk Pahk, who was one of the most important figures of modem Korean history. Mrs. Induk Pahk was the daughter of a Confucian father and a remarkable mother, who turned to Christianity from Buddhism when her daughter was an infant. According to New York Times, Mrs. Induk Pahk took the similar role of ambassador from Korea. She was the president of Korean American Cultural Foundation at Washington D. C. in 1953. Through the institution she delivered such major lectures as "My Country and My People" "Korea's Place in World Affairs" "Christianity in Korea"etc .. Including these lectures, she delivered speeches more than seven thousands times as invitation lectures. These lectures gave great influence on the worldwide audiences to understand what Korea's situation was and what they needed. Today, I think our world has a similar situation compared with that of early 20th century. Not only economical issues but also political issues are very complicated and delicate in international survivalism. Therefore, I should cordially suggest some solutions for today's problems through the historical reflection on Mrs. Induk Pahk's life story with her unique experiences and contributions.
