I tried to observe the history of Nammyeong's literature research from beginning until now. With the problem which the previously research has I tried to search the direction which we should advance to. Initially the research of Nammyeong's literature includes basic data or writer's introduction, poem and prose. Also the research of criticizing, a literature thought and a narration became accomplished. But they researched a poem and a prose mainly. It was like that the research object was gradually abridged.
There is two kinds of problems. They researched Nammyeong's poem and the prose mainly. They researched only several works out of them. That's the preponderance characteristic. So they got a similar conclusion. We must research the epic narration, criticizing, literature thought and literature theory and so on. We must research these fields plentifully. And the main way of research was historic research method at that time. That's the restricted characteristic. The structure research method came to be being used more gradually. The researchers are almost same in dimension of data of study and method of study. That's the reason why they reached the same conclusions.
We must solve the problem of preponderance characteristic and restricted characteristic. In order to do this we must include all Nammyeong's literary works as the research object. Also we must study them by using a new research method. We must research his all works. And We must research his criticizing, the literature theory, a literature thought and an aesthetic sense really. After words we should reinforce a historic research method. And we need to apply a structure research method more than before. Also we need to research a Nammyeong's literature in the social economic viewpoint. And we need to research a Nammyeong's literature in psychoanalysis method. We need to research his literature psychologically also. These kinds of researches are a new direction to which we should go.
