Curriculum has always been the core structure of Christian education. This paper argues that denominational curriculum has not always been consistent with its commitment to denominational core values or doctrinal tenants. These inconsistencies can be found in children’s denominational curriculum. Denominational doctrines or core values are null, if they are not contained in the children’s curriculum. If denominationally produced children’s curriculum does not contain the core values of a particular denomination, then that church, as it is known, is at risk. This article reiterates the importance of curriculum in Christian education. Specifically, it emphasizes that denominationally produced children’s curriculum must integrate the core values within each church regardless of children’s age.
