The long piece of fairy tale, “The children pursuing a dream” was published at 1984 before Kim Young-il died two years ago. It tends to show the domestic life of his, so his work was influenced directly by his life. he wanted the children to matke a dream.
His work in this book, also he tried to keep to have equal relations with children, without distance which exit between the adult and the child. Through the real life, his literary works would rather harmonize with human natures than artificial works by author.
There are something especial in Kim Young-il's fairy tale. They are short sentances, lively ordinary Language, so we could get sence of beauties, and interest form them. It makes adults and children be close.
It is Kim Young-il thought that children are being with him. He created juvenile literature in children's real life which could give a dream and courage to children. As he thought, there was only one way that he could unites him and children into a harmony world.
