This study takes aim at inquiring the fairy tales of North Korea in 1990's. Theory of genres is a principle of order. It classifies literature and literary history not by time or place(period or national language)but by specifically literary types of organization or structure. Genre should be conceived as a grouping of literature works based, theoretically, upon both outer form and also upon inner form. But the fairy tales of North Korea are against the regulations. Ideology is the only criterion of genre of North Korea literature. The fairy tales of North Korea are raising the person equipped with Marxist ideology and able to perform juche thought. North Korea Language Education plays a greate important role as a tool or means in making and changing the children into the powerful a revolutionist equipped with a strong ideology. This powerful, centralized system of literature would gradually internalize socialist idea. Under this system of state control, the fairy tales sought to represent and promote socialist idea that could aid the wider process of state formation underway in North Korea at this time. When characterizing textbook content, a number of messages that become cleary visible were the value of work and loyalty to leadership in the form og Kim Il Sung and Kim Jung Il. In addition, through literary text, children were presented with a number of ideals and role model-child soldiers who fought for their country.
