This article intends to remark on the educational function and creative power of folk literature. Through this discussion we can recognize the rights of folk literary creation and look for the way of cultural democratization by critical recognition about literary creative scheme and communicative educational structure.
It is a wide spread issue that recent modern education actually hamper to literary socialization of human being. But in folk society, everyone enjoyed literary life. Whoever write poem, whoever sing a song, whoever perform folktale. Therefore we can know traditional literary education contribute to the children's cognitive development and socialization.
The most important specific property of folk literature is that it exists in the culture of the ordinary. The folk produce and enjoy folk literature in ordinary life liberally. But now High class art and popular art are both usually produced by the artist, that is, the masses are in the position of accepter. Moreover the process of production and acceptance is separated from ordinary life. It is not only separated from producer and accepter, but also, the daily practice and activation of literature. Therefore the works of literature is abundant but there is no real literary culture.
If high class literature is a art of artists, then folk literature is a natural expression of the folklife. For that reason we have to consider with folk literary tradition. Until now folk literature was classified a survival of folk society, but we can find folk literature was performed by everyone on working educational function and creative power, and even now. Accordingly folk literature depict and represent its holistic life in order to pursue harmony of community, revolution and human release.
Conclusionally, I found that folk literature contributed to tell the working principal and model of community, to understand social cognition of literature and art in based on meta folk literature, and to have critical view point for ordinary rules and the view of value. And the most important issue is the recognition for a right of art-product that whoever could produce literary works. I'm so impressive the educational function of folk literature that make everybody the subject of literature and let them exhibit the power of literary creation.
