The Josik(曺植) crane pulse hold high position to initially from Seongju(星州) area. However, after Jeondgu(鄭逑) began activity, his pupil occupied overwhelming specific gravity.
From the next generation, there is no leading vine pulse and the lull state was shown. Noron(老論) vine pulse took down the root from the end of the 17th century, and the Yeehoang(李滉) pulse was occupied the mainstream in the 19th century.
As well as Seongju area, the vine pulse of Chilkok(漆谷) almost formed the single vine pulse of Jeondgu till the 17th century, and Yeehoang pulse leed it in the 19th century.
Jeondgu formed the large vine pulse in Koryeung(高靈). However, Yeehoang pulse occupied the mainstream in the second half of the 17th century. The Koakjongseok(郭宗錫) series took the lead in the second half of the 19th century. These were positive to actual participation and accommodation of new culture.
The academic traditions of Seongju sphere showed other aspects as for Andong(安東) by much concern about Kihak(氣學) and the administration.
The conflict for involving the leadership of a local community[鄕戰] was advanced between the Jeonginhong(鄭仁弘)’s pupil and the Jeondgu’s pupil in Seongju area till the beginning of the 17th century. However, Noron(老論) opposed to Namin(南人) surround this in the end of the 17th century.
Hyandyak(鄕約) was enforced in all areas, and the peculiar aspect was shown in Seongju sphere.
