After world - war Ⅱ, especially since the last twenty or thirty years the: world trade distribution has changed into a new face, resultting from the prosperity of Japanese economy, the emergence of the "four little dragons", the rapid and vigorous development of China mainland and the formation of the newly-developed industrilised countries in the North-east Asia. The gravity of the international transport, marked by the container is shifting from the Atlantic Ocean area to the Pacific Ocean area.
By course of the effects of the development of international container transport, the port - group in the Asian - pacific area, represented by Hongkong. Singapore, Knohsiung, Shanghai, Kobe, Busan and Vostoncliny, are rising rapidly. The ability of the group of loading find unloading containers is on the top of the rank ill the world.
As for the Asian-pacific countries and the other ones, in consideration of the varity in the geographic position, the natural condition, the hiterland condition, the function and the administration level of the ports, everyone, in the future long time, will maintain either a competitive and a coordinative relation with the others in the world trade transport network. Even though in the future time, there will be a increased varity in the development scale and the performance capacity between them, whether a marine transport center, which is supported by the others will be formed, it is unpredic for the time being.
