The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of various educational citizen networks in the region to build a ecosystem in local education, and based on this, to propose policy directions and action plans to revitalize the educational citizen network. To this end, the status of the local education citizen network was investigated through literature analysis, regional network, and regional education ecosystem-related data analysis, and measures to activate the education citizen network and the future direction of education were explored through surveys and focus group interviews(FGI). Based on this, the measures to revitalize the educational citizen network to build a future education ecosystem derived from this study include 1) continuous investigation and discovery of local education networks, 2) strengthening policy support, 3) support to reduce regional differences, 4) solidarity and Strengthening cooperation, 5) establishing a platform for sharing information and activities, and 6) strengthening connections with local residents’ autonomous associations were suggested. It is expected that these measures will contribute to the establishment of a local education ecosystem and to effectively presenting the direction of future education. In addition, organic cooperation between local communities and educational institutions through the educational citizen network provides important implications for establishing a sustainable education ecosystem.
