This study aimed to analyze pre-service elementary school teachers’ science museum viewing experience by the level of Michel Foucault’s Subjectivation. As research subjects, this study selected 48 pre-service teachers who were taking ‘Living Things & Human Beings’, one of the natural science elective courses, at university of education. When analyzing the degrees of their reaching subjectivation, this study found out that the majority of them remained in the degree of ‘Indoctrination of External Power and Rule’, talking about the viewing traffic suggested by the science museum and viewing guided by the museum commentator, while adapting themselves to the external power and rules. On the contrary, it was found that the frequency of those who reached the degree of ‘Organizing Phase-Autonomous Identity Formation, which is a phase of organizing programs with subjectivity and building up self-regulated identity was the lowest. Therefore, teachers playing a role as a leader for science museum viewing are required to establish their own identity as ’a teacher newly organizing science museum programs at the level of Michel Foucault’s Subjectivation.
