Architecture is a physical and visible structure that accounts for a very high proportion of the surrounding environment. The general concept of metaphor also appears in architecture in that it forms an individual and collective relationship between humans and space. Metaphors generally act to clarify and clarify the meaning of objects that you want to express, and Anthony C. Antoniades studied that metaphorical expressions and characteristic elements appear in architecture, but since no further research has been conducted since 1994, it has been analyzed whether the expression and characteristic elements of architectural metaphor theory appear based on the era in which he conducted research. After a comparative analysis of whether the expression and characteristic elements of architectural metaphor theory appear in the era of minimalism and pluralism according to the changes of the times, this study will continuously analyze and supplement whether Anthony C. Antoniades’ theory of architecture appears until the era of pluralism, and research on whether the common metaphor types of architectural metaphor appear in each use should be continued.
