Purpose: Because people invest a lot of time and effort in their jobs, the experiences at the workplaces might be an important factor for employee’s well-being. The present paper investigates the influences of personality factors and organizational identification on life satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology: The survey methodology was used for this study. The authors asked employees to complete the survey from a web site. A total of two-hundred and seven responses from business professionals are analyzed. Results: When materialism and the demographic variables such as gender, age, turnover frequency, annual income, and weekly working hours are controlled, neuroticism was negatively related with organizational identification and life satisfaction. Extraversion showed a positive relationship with organizational identification. The relationship between extraversion and life satisfaction, however was not significant. In addition, organizational identification was positively related with life satisfaction. Conclusions: Organizational identification increased life satisfaction. It means the importance of work experiences in one's well-being. This study also shows the negative impacts of neuroticism on organizational identification and life satisfaction. From the perspective of positive psychology, the results were discussed.
