This study is dedicated to enhancing user sensory experiences and improving the usability of existing virtual reality golf games through the utilization of mixed reality technology. Our primary objective was to delve into methods that elevate realism, with a focus on sensory immersion, while conducting an exhaustive analysis of various sensory aspects including visual, auditory, and tactile elements within the golf gaming environment. Our research methodology encompassed conducting surveys and interviews across diverse platforms—desktop, mobile, and virtual reality—targeting golf game users to comprehensively gather their requirements. Through this iterative process, we meticulously discerned user expectations and needs, thereby charting a course for advancements leveraging mixed reality technology. Our analysis unveiled that sensory engagement in a mixed reality setting, amalgamating visual, auditory, and tactile feedback via system peripherals such as golf clubs with shock and vibration features, offers an unparalleled level of immersion and realism surpassing traditional virtual reality experiences, consequently elevating user satisfaction significantly. Furthermore, this research furnishes a comprehensive framework encompassing design architectures, technological solutions, and operational scenarios for crafting a seamless and immersive mixed reality golf gaming experience tailored to user preferences. Moreover, it presents valuable insights into the versatile applications of mixed reality technology across sports and diverse gaming genres, poised to exert a pivotal influence on the trajectory of future game development endeavors. Ultimately, this research is poised to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and design principles aimed at optimizing user experiences within the realm of mixed reality technology, thereby serving as indispensable groundwork for forthcoming research and development initiatives.
