The purpose of this study is to analyze consumers’ purchase intentions for edible insect-added foods and to seek policy alternatives to increase the purchase of related foods. Based on a survey, consumers’ purchase intentions for edible insect-added foods and policy alternatives for purchase increase were evaluated through binary and multinomial logistic analysis, respectively. The results of empirical analysis showed that the factors influencing purchase intentions for edible insect-added foods were mainly food consumption tendency, awareness and valuing of edible insects, availability of important information about edible insect-added foods, policy credibility, and the possibility of future foods cultural development. The results of the policy alternatives to increase the purchase of edible insect-added foods are as follows:First, consumers who are interested in edible insects or whose consumption intentions are driven by the opinions of influencers are more likely to choose the policy of “promoting the benefits of edible insects” over the alternative of “ensuring safety first.” Second, the more likely consumers were to accept edible insect-added foods in the near future, to decide whether to purchase after observing other people’s attitudes, and to consume such foods in the future, the more they favored “opening and operating a store specializing in edible and medicinal insects.”
