In this thesis, I reviewed the consciousness of succession of Ikh Mongol uls that appeared in the process of Mongolia's independence in 1911 and the national integration movement that developed for several years thereafter. As a result, I confirmed the following. First, the Mongol princes who led independence in 1911 understood the establishment of a new state as the reconstruction or succession of Ikh Mongol uls founded by Chingis khaan in 1206. In the related documents, a number of records are confirmed that write the newly established Mongol uls as Ikh Mongol uls, the government of Bogd khaan as the government of Ikh Mongol uls, and its head as Bogd khaan of Ikh Mongol uls. All of this tells us that the Ikh Mongol uls succession consciousness was widespread among the Mongols at the time. Second, the Mongolian princes who led independence in 1911 also understood the establishment of a new state as the reconstruction or succession of Ikh Yuan uls. In other words, in related materials, there are quite a few records that write that the newly established Mongol uls was a state established according to the old rules of Ikh Yuan uls, and a state established 500 years after the collapse of Ikh Yuan uls. Ikh Yuan uls in the data is a Chinese character representation of Ikh Mongol uls, not the Yuan dynasty that constitutes Ikh Mongol uls. This is proof that the Ikh Mongol uls succession consciousness and the Ikh Yuan uls succession consciousness were also widespread among the Mongols at the time. Third, the Mongolian princes who led independence in 1911 recognized Bogd khaan as the successor of Chingis khaan. In other words, in related materials, there are many records that call Chingis khaan the founder of Ikh Mongol uls or the founder of Ikh Yuan uls, and call Bogd khaan his successor. Therefore, the coronation ceremony of Bogd khaan was also held according to the custom of Chingis khaan era, and there are also sources calling Bogd khaan a descendant of Chingis khaan. Indeed, since Bogd khaan is the eighth reincarnation of Zanabazar, a descendant of Chingis khaan, it is also true that he is said to be a descendant of Chingis khaan in spirit.
