This paper discusses on the unification education, the direction of unification education building up peace competency as a common disciplinary framework for the reunification, and the approaches of unification education in Moral Education strengthening peace competency. Therefore, this paper also searches for the new approaches of the unification education for the young generation who is difficult to be taught the meaning of the division based upon the principle of proximity and who does not have emotional involvement about the problem of the division because of the long-standing social conflicts over the unification in the prolonged separation. The proposal delivered by this paper can be a theoretical foundation preparing a educational plan which leads the unification education not to be a purely ornamental and rhetorical modifier in the nation unification process while indifference about the reunification and the unification education pervades in the society, and the policy and the education for the unification keep producing
