Nurturing children’s creativity and aesthetic sensitivity is greatly influenced by the professionalism of the teacher. The study aims to examine the effect of early childhood teachers’ art education content knowledge on art teaching and learning activities, and to investigate the mediating effect of art teaching efficacy in their relationship. The survey was conducted through questionnaires targeting 219 daycare center teachers in G city. For the collected data, three regression equations were used to correlation analysis, and mediating effect using the SPSS 23.0 program. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a positive correlation between art education content knowledge, art teaching efficacy, and art teaching activities. It was found that art teaching efficacy had a mediating effect in the relationship between art knowledge and art teaching activities. The results of this study suggest that art education content knowledge and art teaching efficacy are important variables to effectively implement art teaching and learning activities.
