The purpose of this study is to summarize the issues surrounding the refugee issue, analyze the characteristics of the composition of educational contents on refugees in the “World Geography” textbooks, and grasp the perspective of seeing refugees. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, refugees are covered in four major chapters. The content focused on refugee issues in Africa and Southwest Asia. Second, the educational content on refugees was organized around the themes of factors of occurrence, countries of origin and acceptance, reasons for and against refugee acceptance, and efforts to solve refugee problems. Third, although more than 80% of refugees are accepted in developing countries, it was described that developed countries are accepting most of them. Fourth, the concept and scope of refugees are being treated very vaguely. Fifth, the complex refugee problem was dealt with too simply and the refugee group was overgeneralized.
