This study sought to evaluate the effect of the coaching leadership of hotel chefs on self-efficacy and organizational citizenship behavior. As a result of this study, first, coaching leadership (direction presentation, competency development, performance evaluation) had a positive effect on self-efficacy. Second, self-efficacy had a positive effect on hotel citizens’ organizational citizenship behavior. Third, coaching leadership (direction presentation, competency development, performance evaluation) had a positive effect on organizational citizenship. Fourth, the self-efficacy of hotel chefs has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between coaching leadership and organizational citizenship. These verification results show that the self-efficacy of hotel cooks is exerted when the coaching leadership of the cooking department manager does not work effectively in any situation, but at least has a proper relationship with the organizational citizenship behavior, which is a psychological characteristic of hotel cooks. It is possible to induce the goal performance. Therefore, based on the research results, suggestions were made in the practical aspect for managers of the cooking department.
