Karabakh is one of the most beautiful regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Karabakh, which has a special place in the history of Azerbaijan with its nature, music and culture, became a source of conflict between the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples as a result of the efforts of nationalists who followed the historical myths and dreamed of creating "Great Armenia". Questions such as how the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples historically knew each other and what they thought about each other are important both in terms of understanding the roots of the conflict, extinguishing the conflict and ensuring peaceful coexistence. It is possible to find answers to these questions in folklore and literature. In classical Azerbaijani literature and folklore, there are no derogatory ideas against other peoples, including Armenians, but on the contrary, neighborliness, commuting, friendship, and cooperation with them are highlighted. Folklore and 19th-20th century Azerbaijani literature have been researched in this article.
