The Inland Fisheries Research Institute building in the Gapyeong-gun relocated to chungnam kumsan-gun in the first half of 2021. The relocation site(Plottage: 76,199㎡, Total ground area: 6,879㎡) are located in an important location in Gapyeong, so it is believed that there is a high potential of local inland marine activation through utilization. There are some main facilities: Main building, Indoor breeding grounds, Outdoor aquaculture system, Reservoir, etc.
It is necessary to find a way to utilize the relocation site of the Inland Fisheries Research Institute in a direction that contributes to the interests of local residents and revitalization of the local economy in Gapyeong-gun.
Therefore, this study proposes a method of redeveloping policies for relocation site of Inland Fisheries Research Institute, and also new policies will have properly to reflect the interests of the Gapyeong-gun.
Based on some case analysis results, the development plan of relocation site of the Inland Fisheries Research Institute was presented in order of policy directions.
First, the aquarium will be established to create a space for visitors to learn about the ecological environment and fish species of the marine and the surface of inland waters. It plays a key role in ocean education policy, has to spreading advanced marine scientific technology in conjunction with marine science specialized institutions.
Second, it is necessary to use augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) programs to generate interest in the ocean and provide experience opportunities. Using augmented reality programs on their devices, it provides opportunities for teenagers to experience the ecology of domestic facilities, tourist attractions in Gapyeong-gun, and ship operation experience.
Third, the Youth Marine Education Center and nearby water leisure companies provide education such as water leisure theory and safety, opportunities to experience water leisure equipment including boats.
Fourth, the "Reservoir within the relocation site of the Inland Fisheries Research Institute" shall be constructed as a natural ecological and cultural park in conjunction with the "7080 Cheongpyeong Village Creation Plan".
Fifth, creating a space for teenagers to marine activities, such as breeding, fry discharge, fishing experience, etc., by utilizing an outdoor breeding tank of relocation site of the Inland Fisheries Research Institute.
