This study aims at figuring out the status of the management of a community public sports facility and its problems, and suggesting the policy implications for community public sports facility through the case of how to manage it efficiently. In order to achieve the purposes, based on the governmental sources and previous literature, the methods for the actual management case were suggested through the literature review and expert meeting with the following results. First, Hongje basketball court is run and managed by Seodaemun Basketball Association, and based on trusts with the Seodaemun District Office for improving the court and its users’ convenience, the collaboration is made through the regular meetings with the officer in charge. Second, for forming the citizens’ affection for the community, various kinds of basketball games, and projects sponsored by the Seodaemun District Office were made by collaborating between the Seodaemun Basketball Association and the community, and then, voluntary cooperative system was composed for huge contribution to form the community. Third, the common sense of community was made through the corporate participation, resulting in raising the companies’ images, and improving the community’s daily sports, it contributes to enhance the sports welfare.
