On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Torch Trinity Graduate University (TTGU hereafter) wanted to revisit its roots. The Missional Theological Education Forum’ was held as a reminder of the school’s original mission, which is ‘to reach the unreached people’ by training Christian leaders with theological education for world mission. This article is an expanded version of the presidential address at the forum on November 22, 2019 at Ha Yong Jo Hall. The intention and goal of the forum were to invite TTGU faculty of every discipline and students to be fully engaged in scholarly research and observation regarding the global situation of Christian mission so that the trajectory of theological education could be detected. In this address, TTGU’s efforts in making theological education more missional are introduced, such as Torch Strategic Mission Scholarship, Bilingual Programs, Inter/trans-denominationalism, offering regional Christian history courses, intercultural/mission track in MDiv program, and ‘Angel Project’ effect.
