This study aimed to examine through which structures dualistic and monistic perception has been perceived using an ontological explanation for the movement and consciousness of the body in practicing Taekwondo. For the smooth performance of this study, a longitudinal research method was used, and the consciousness of Taekwondo practitioners and the movement of the body in practicing Taekwondo within dualistic structures were studied in this study. In this process, it was found that ‘consciousness’ or ‘spirit,’ like the one that is pursued by Taekwondo practitioners, and ‘movement’ have existed as an idea from ancient times. It was also found that if the movement and consciousness do not rely on the living body of humans, and thus cannot exist in themselves beyond a monistic or dualistic logic, they cannot be valid. This is supported by theories from ancient times. Parmenides(BC515-BC445, assumed)asserted the impossibility of plurality which means that it is impossible to recognize the mind and body as a separate entity, and Plato’s (BC427-BC347) dualism of ideas that cannot be sensed shows that this is subject to the limiting condition of ideas. The conclusion that the ontological existence of the movement and consciousness of Taekwondo practice cannot exist without relying on the living body of humans is proved by ancient documents.
