This article is focused on the specificity of reward and punishment narrative inherent in police-type Korea’s novel. Punishment’ and ‘reward’ structure through motifs of malignant spirit and grudge dissolution in Korea’s novel appear on TV lately. The malignant spirit are back by the excessive oppression of patriarchy. She is re-incorporated into the patriarchy through grudge dissolution such as yeolnyeobi. Since these characteristics will provide the framework of the ‘punishment’ structure in Korea’s novel. Such structure of punishment acts on the principle that developed the story in <Village-Archara’s secret>(2015, SBS aired). Patriarch of <Village> are not punished for the sins they have committed. But the mother of <Village> should punish himself because of the guilt did not keep the child. Or they punished by the public authorities. This hides the contradictions of the patriarchy South Korea through the punishment of mother criminals. <Village> is the same as the structure of punishment in the classic story. But <Village> will not pay for grudge dissolution of the malignant spirit, and it extends the subject by exposing the problems of South Korea on purpose.
