This study tried to recognize the historical and cultural value of national industrial complex and find appropriate usage of these complex. National industrial complex have played an important role in Korean industry and economy, but it is undervalued below its real worth. This study aimed to survey about potential contents of national industrial complex and find possibilities of cultural usage with larchiveum. Larchiveum is a convergent notion of library, archive and museum. As current society needs lifelong education and community program, larchiveum can expand the area of these functions with collection, communication, education and service. This study surveyed 35 national industrial complex and classified four groups depending on types of business. The survey is focused on tangible and intangible contents of both industrial history and life history such as building, facility, product, skill, data, system, labor movement, living environment and life culture. The results of the study are ① Most of national industrial complex are of great value in historical and industrial perspectives. ② In terms of quality and quantity of contents of national Industrial complex, industrial contents are more valuable than life-cultural contents, because residential and cultural environment is still limited in national industrial complex. ③ National industrial complex are grouped as four relevant business and have similar characteristic value and ④ 35 National industrial complex can be classified for cultural use of larchiveum.
