It has been argued that the transmission of P'ilbong Nong'ak 필봉농악 in terms of genealogy would be clear. Several essays have showed that genealogical record of p’ilbong nong’ak should be a transmission of Chŏn P’an-i 전판이 - Yi Hwa-ch'un 이화춘 - Pak Hak-sam 박학삼 - Song Chu-ho 송주호 - Yang Sun-yong 양순용 - Yang Chin-sŏng 양진성. What would we derive from this genealogical schematization? Can we know better about the P'ilbong Nong'ak through this genealogy? The transmission is not technical lessons itself but ecological response to the techniques. It can be argued that the transmission of intangible heritage is a kind of historical constructing process, rather than technical lessons or genealogical schematization. What is the ‘historical transmission’? It is a process for meaningful valuation on the basis of ‘the ecological present’. It is not a ‘term of the past’ but ‘term of the present’. The historical p'ungmulgut 풍물굿, i.e. nongak, transmission is a kind of integrated concept of lives, values, introspection of ‘the present’, rather than a line-drawing among authoritative art technicians. The transmission should be a planning for life and self-examination for activity direction.
