This paper attempts to present the necessity and specific examples of multicultural newspapers as a realistic way of multicultural education based on the understanding of multicultural phenomena in our society. Given the multicultural peculiarities of Korean society, the multicultural education currently led by the government has problems in terms of its objects, contents, and approach. In this paper, multicultural families are provided online and offline in consideration of the expansion of educational opportunities for multicultural families who are becoming vulnerable groups and the accessibility of multi cultural families concentrated in farming and fishing villages. Through the planning, production, and dissemination of such multicultural newspapers, it is expected to contribute to resolving the polarization of information, knowledge, and education by enhancing linguistic literacy and socio-cultural literacy, which are the driving forces of language acquisition and knowledge creation of Korean society members.
