Galactosemia, caused by galactose and metabolites generated during carbohydrate metabolism, is a rare genetic disease reported in Asian countries including Korea. There is lack of information about galactose content in safe foods and dietary guidelines. Therefore, a total of 10 subjects, including 5 parents of children under 12 years of age diagnosed with galactosemia, and 5 clinical experts participated in the Focus Group Interview.
