Hypercholesterolemia is the risk factor for atherosclerosis, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases. Several sericulture products including pupae oil, hemolymph, and silk proteins reported as cholesterol regulating materials by reducing cholesterol biosynthesis and LDL cholesterol level. However, study using silkworm larvae have been elusively unknown.
