Steam has been tested successfully in agricultural fields for soil disinfestation. Many studies have been conducted on plant disease control using garlic extract. However, questions remain as to whether the combination of steam with garlic extract will improve the efficacy of pest control. The objective of this study was to determine whether steam + garlic extract improve the efficacy against pests. Steam treatment time was determined based on soil temperature. Garlic extract was treated in the soil by 50 and 100% of standard dose.
