Yun Dong-ju"s early work, 「There Is No Tomorrow」 has not received much attention until now, perhaps because of the perception that it lacks poetic integrity. However, paradoxically, this work is judged to be a work that provides an important reference point for examining the aspect of Yun Dong-ju, a writer of children"s poetry. This work has a kind of intertextuality with 「Tomorrow」 by Kim Seok-young, which was included in Anthology of Chosun Children"s Songs published in 1929. In 「There Is No Tomorrow」, Yun Dong-ju"s poetic strategy of parodying the original work and creating a new work is imbued. As it is Yun Dong-ju"s early work, it exposes crude limitations, but on the other hand, it reveals the aspect of Yoon Dong-ju, who tried to create his own text by absorbing and transforming the preceding text. It is meaningful as the first work that allows us to know that Yun Dong-ju"s simultaneous creation of 「There Is No Tomorrow」 was made through imitation and transformation of the preceding text.
