New Year Picture is not just a traditional ritual of fragmentary nature held every year on the Lunar New Year or an aesthetic function of decorating living space. There is a role in informing and guiding something for social and public purposes, which is the social reform, or a moral lesson function, that the main body wants to deal with. Perhaps thanks to this traditional role of ‘moral lesson’ many Chinese still use soft currency today and use it as a tool for promoting and enlightening administrative guidelines and social public awareness. In fact, many studies have been done on the social function and role of New Year Picture in existing studies. But he didn"t pay attention to the expression technique. There will certainly be another formality different from general New Year Picture in order to set an example for social and public purposes that might be instructive and to guard against repeating mistakes again. In conclusion, a ‘bold choice’ was attempted to express several characters on one page, a combination of ‘writing and painting’ was used to supplement the complex story structure and emphasize the instructive content, and a ‘linked structure’ which makes the development of narrative rich was chosen.
