Moral identity is a concept that has been emphasized by a number of studies on moral psychology and moral education. And adolescence is an important period in terms of identity and moral development. Unfortunately, most studies have focused on adult moral identity and there have been relatively few research about adolescent moral identity. The purpose of this study was to examine the difference between moral identity of adolescents and that of adults, ultimately, to find unique features of adolescent moral identity empirically and statistically. This study measured the level of moral identity of both adolescent and adult by using Aquino and Reed’s Self-Importance of Moral Identity Scale, and then found some statistically significant difference between adolescents and adults. Based on this finding, the present study proposes that further researches about adolescent moral identity are needed
